The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), an international medical association serving more than 20,000 radiologists, is seeking a data-driven marketer to manage the society’s social media and digital advertising initiatives.
The Digital Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing and play an integral role in enhancing the society’s digital marketing efforts. With an emphasis on social media management, this position will act as curator, editor, and committee liaison for the society’s social media functions—from posting content to providing competitor research—while integrating best practices for advertising opportunities. Other core responsibilities include:
Monitor current trends in social media, advertising, and other digital marketing avenues to implement best practices and maintain the organization’s competitive edge.
Manage email campaigns for member benefits: drafting messages, creating schedules, tracking results, and optimizing member engagement.
Oversee and implement tactics of digital advertising campaigns, including PPC, remarketing, social media, and online display advertising for all areas of the society.
Monitor and report on all ARRS web traffic to optimize marketing performance.
Oversee contracted Annual Meeting videographer, including contracting, scheduling, and onsite direction.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills Required
Candidates for this position should also possess the following:
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Communications, Marketing or related field
Three to five years of related social media and digital advertising experience, preferably in an association setting
Ability to collaborate productively and translate digital marketing to non-marketing stakeholders
Adept at gathering and interpreting data across social media channels, web, and email
Excellent writing and editing skills (writing samples will be requested)
Broadcast email, including drafting, layout, automation, and audience segmenting (experience with informz a plus)
Well versed in best practices and latest innovations in social media
Experience working with PPC, remarketing, and online display advertising campaigns
Experience working with Google Analytics
Experience with advertising platforms for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
PC/MS Office skills
Volunteer/Committee management experience a plus
Photoshop a plus
HTML a plus
