InfoComm International is seeking an entry-level marketing coordinator to support the marketing team responsible for promoting the InfoComm US trade show, InfoComm International market research products, and membership programs. As part of the Industry Marketing Team, you will assist in the project management, development, and production of various integrated marketing campaigns. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.
Manage and fulfill requests from InfoComm tradeshow exhibitors for VIP codes, personalized banner ads, exhibit hall passes
Maintain Expo website and association website with copy edits and sponsor logos
Work with Expo Services Coordinator to schedule, write, and send Exhibitor bulletins
Input statistics into marketing plan spreadsheet and registration by week report
Fulfill trade partnerships by submitting print and banner ads, scheduling emails, and managing booth, hotel room and meeting room requests
Submit new promotional codes to registration vendor for marketing efforts and test codes as necessary
Maintain spreadsheet to track invoices
Work with marketing team to manage photography vendor at the InfoComm show
Inquire about rates and media kits for Expo marketing and send ads to advertiser by the deadline
Schedule emails and review as emails are tested; route to stakeholders and submit edits through Basecamp (project management software)
Under the guidance of the Events Marketing Manager, develop printed Exhibit Hall Map and work with Expo team, designer, and vendor on production
Assist on marketing the AV Executive Conference (AVEC) by updating website with logos and copy and developing onsite collateral (signage, badge template, PowerPoint slides.)
Update APEx directory and order APEx plaques
Submit sign orders for any marketing-related signage at the InfoComm US show
Travel – 15%
As needed to assist at InfoComm trade shows or conferences in the United States.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, with a major in marketing, communications, or English strongly preferred
1 years’ experience in marketing through internships or previous employment
Experience writing and/or editing highly technical copy (for engineers, IT departments or government proposals) is a strong plus
Skills and Attributes
Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Must be comfortable inputting data into Excel and creating simple formulas.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional command of spelling and grammar are a must.
Sense of project ownership and conscientious attention to detail to see assignments through to completion
Problem-solving self-starter who seeks solutions and works autonomously when necessary
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize own work
Ability to work with diverse interdepartmental groups in a professional and diplomatic fashion
