The Marketing Assistant Planner coordinates marketing processes and prioritizes, directs, and responds to matters involving administrative functions associated with marketing operations. Creates and maintains associated documents, spreadsheets, databases, special events, and alerts supervisor of critical issues. Manages all aspects of contracting, payment and invoicing for advertising contracts. Assists with creative trafficking and management for advertising campaigns. Assists with reporting on marketing metrics.
Documents & Databases
Independently responds to and composes correspondence with marketing vendors, related to advertising buys and creative.
Creates and maintains standard spreadsheets and/or databases to support marketing programs and marketing measurement, such as web traffic reporting and list management for direct marketing.
Prepares queries, reports, statistics, tables, charts, etc. based on information compiled from various sources, including CRM database (Hobsons Radius), Google Analytics, and social media platforms, in order to measure campaign performance and effectiveness.
Assists as needed to maintain websites and/or blogs.
Assists as needed to create new web pages and/or updates standard information/data within the application’s content management program.
Creates and maintains financial records, including budget tracking and invoice database.
Verifies appropriateness and accuracy of charges and resolves discrepancies.
Updates financial transaction spreadsheets and databases.
Generates summary reports and statistics.
Regularly collaborates with colleagues across marketing and creative teams to ensure effective execution of marketing plans.
Develop a strong understanding of marketing, media and operational processes to effectively facilitate marketing plan execution, including understanding online bidding systems.
Participate in cross-functional team projects as necessary.
Researches information to resolve problems or issues related to marketing contracts.
Performs other duties as assigned, including keeping abreast of marketing industry trends and staying up-to-date on School of Professional Studies program offerings and target markets.
A high school diploma or equivalent required.
4 years of administrative support or other relevant experience required.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
Intermediate knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and database software programs is required.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
One year of media planning and/or marketing agency experience or relevant internship experience.
